Beau Geste – P.C. Wren by P.C. Wren

"I promise to be a good soldier."

When a priceless sapphire, the 'Blue Water', disappears from the Brandon household, Michael 'Beau' Geste leaves a note confessing to the theft and flees to join the French Foreign Legion to save the family's honor. His brothers Digby and John follow him. In the brutal heat of the North African desert, they face a sadistic sergeant and an Arab uprising at the legendary Fort Zinderneuf.

This novel is the definitive story of the Foreign Legion. It is a mystery wrapped in an adventure, celebrating brotherhood, sacrifice, and the romantic code of the soldier of fortune.
