Cyrano de Bergerac – Edmond Rostand

Cyrano is a cadet in the French army, a braggart, a swordsman, and a poet with a gigantic nose. He loves his beautiful cousin Roxane but believes he is too ugly to be loved. He agrees to help the handsome but inarticulate Christian woo her, writing the letters and speaking the words of love that Christian cannot find. Roxane falls in love with the soul she hears, not knowing it belongs to Cyrano.
